So, you may have noticed I have not been active for awhile--this is likely to continue. I will still post things, but if I don't get reply to comments or favorites for awhile, don't worry! I will get to them eventually. I have just been super busy, and will continue to be.

Just thought I should warn people. Thanks for all the favs/comments/watches! I really appreciate them, even if I don't tell you directly.

Okay, so I'm slowly heading back to more calligraphy. Maybe it's just because I'll be going to college next week and (very sadly) cannot bring my supply of inks with me, but I think it's probably because I just read the epilogue to God Child (if you don't know what that is, you should read it). That got me re-reading Camelot Garden (another thing everyone should read), which is, of course, based off Tennyson's poem, "The Lady of Shalott". Now I've decided the one thing I need to do before leaving for college is make a calligraphized version, bound book format.

Yeah. My mind wanders pretty fast.

Either way, I'm starting my first foray into book-binding with some poems I don't like quite so much, a few by Christina Rossetti. It will be up shortly!


Other than that, I'm still keeping up with crochet and knit stuff. I need to fill my new etsy shop with cute amigurumi!

Besides my shop, I've been feeling very productive lately. I managed to actually sew (two!) bags with my sewing machine, and I've finally finished repairing some fountain pens I've been working on. Hopefully I manage to keep up this level of energy when college starts this fall XD.

So now I'm crocheting. It's actually pretty fun, a lot easier than knitting (not as much thought) and the results are pretty cute so far! I've been making amigurumi(s?), which even for a beginner crocheter like me take less than a day per project.

And since I can now buy acrylic yarn (I hate using it for garment-like knit objects), which is way cheaper than the natural fibers I usually get, I've kinda gone crazy and bought a lot. Particularity because it was all 50% off.

So hopefully I will be posting a bunch more amigurumi(s?) soon, or it will be a bit of a waste!

(Also, does anyone know if the plural of amigurumi is amigurumis or just amigurumi?)

So I've been doing a lot of calligraphy lately, mainly because I unearthed some really nice pre 1920's flex nibs for my dip pen. This kinda refueled my interest, so I started learning some of the scripts listed in the calligraphy book I bought earlier this summer. And just recently I found some nice winsor newton calligraphy inks half off at a local bookstore.

So yeah. Expect to see a lot of calligraphy, and a break from poetry for a while.

And if anyone has a quote or something they'd like to see in calligraphy, please let me know. I'm having trouble thinking of things to do.
